Make It Real Feb 2011

Question: What do you think of the transference of wealth theory that many faith teachers and prophets are talking about for 2011?

Answer: I have heard teaching from both faith teachers and prophetic teachers over the years declaring that believers would somehow receive great wealth before the return of Christ. I do agree that certain scriptures speak about God bringing the wealth of the wicked to the righteous. However, my focus has turned to trusting the All Knowing Most Powerful God to cleanse my heart from all greed and love of money so that He can do with my life whatever He has planned.

In my book, Joy Comes In the Morning, I shared the truth concerning the untimely death of my seven year old daughter. It had to do with my heart being unable to hear the Lord’s warnings concerning the scheme of the enemy. (The book can be downloaded free of charge at www.beautyforashes.org.) Ever since her death, I have been on a journey to find complete freedom from the love of money. At the beginning of this year, I believe that God revealed that He had brought me to victory over looking to money to meet any of my needs. I found the freedom to serve God and Him alone (see Luke 16). With this freedom, God has begun to place a desire in my heart to walk in my gifting for bringing increase in the area of resources and finance. Since He has changed my heart and I have truly renewed my mind in the Word, I can now be trusted to seek the wisdom from God and the vision to see millions come into my checking account (because now I truly want it to be for His Kingdom and His glory so that millions of souls can come into the love and knowledge of Jesus Christ).

We all need to believe for freedom from this evil root of the love of money. People with the love of money don’t usually look like our perspective of greedy and cunning individuals who are stingy and uncaring, but it can be as simple as the person who will not step out in faith because they don’t believe that God will provide their need. It can look like the person who says no to God because they can not see how God could get them the week off of work to go to the mission field. It looks like someone who writes a check at an offering but the check bounces (though they thought they walked in faith when they wrote the check). Ask the Holy Spirit if any area of your life is still led by the need for money.

I believe that when we find freedom from serving the spirit of Mammon (the god of this world) we can truly distinguish between the leading of the Holy Spirit and the leading of our opinion and lustful desires in the area of money. Now just imagine a mature son or daughter of the Lord who can hear the Holy Spirit. This great God who blesses even the unrighteous, how much more can He instruct His children who are sensitive to His instruction. If the gifting given to a millionaire business man can operate without the leading of the Holy Spirit, then how much more should someone led by the Holy Spirit be able to prosper with the gifting to increase in the area of business and finance.

I do believe that God is preparing the hearts of the elect to be stewards of resources. As we approach the day of the judgment of the world systems of economics, as believers we want to be positioned to for the wealth required to bring in a great harvest of souls. God is stirring me to learn all that I can about His business principles. I desire to be a vessel found trustworthy for the handling of finances and resources in the upcoming world wide crisis.
